Orion Structural Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Structural REVIT / AutoCAD Drafter. Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience desired, but less experience can be considered for the right candidate.
Desired skills & experience:
- Strong organizational, written and communication skills.
- Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Understanding structural components of a building.
- Structural drafting experience in concrete, steel, wood and masonry.
- Ability to coordinate structural drawing sets with other disciplines, and from marked prints, notes, and written/verbal instructions.
- Enthusiastic personality
- Computer savvy (Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Able to work on multiple projects and perform a variety of tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Some architectural experience a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
- Communicate with consultants, the building department, and to resolve any design or code issues that may result.
- Knowledge of drafting standards.
- Maintaining CAD standards for all projects.
- Back checking / coordination of structural drawings
- Plotting / final document production
Team-based environment, fast-paced organization. We are a small office with opportunities to participate in field investigations, and other activities outside of drafting.
